De World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) (ook wel Organisation Mondiale du Mouvement Scout (OMMS) genaamd) is de grootste scouting wereldorganisatie. Van de WOSM zijn de nationale scoutingorganisatie's lid die gestart zijn voor alleen jongens en de nationale scoutingorganisatie's die gemengd gestart zijn. De laatsten zijn vaak ook lid van de WAGGGS. De WOSM heeft ongeveer 28 miljoen leden in bijna alle landen op de wereld.

Nederland valt onder de Europese regio van de WOSM. De WOSM heeft drie kantoren in Europa. In West Europa zijn dat Brussel en Geneve.

-The mission of Scouting is to contribute to the education of young people, through a value system based on the Scout Promise and Law, to help build a better world where people are self-fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role in society. This is achieved by:
